The Aquafine AF50 is a rigger brush — a long, fine-tipped brush with an elongated head that holds a good reservoir of colour and releases it slowly and evenly. It's designed for the kind of continuous, flowing lines that are difficult to achieve with any other brush shape: rigging on boats, fine branches and twigs, lettering, scrollwork, and any subject requiring a consistent line over a long stroke.
The AF51 size 10/0 is classified as a Liner — a shorter, finer version of the rigger that's better suited to very precise detail work and touching in small marks rather than pulling long continuous lines.
Both are made from Daler-Rowney's synthetic filament blend, which holds colour well and comes to a reliable fine point. Available in sizes 10/0 (liner), 2, 4, and 6.
