The Aquafine AF55 is a short flat brush — a square-edged shape that gives you a lot of versatility from a single brush. Used flat against the paper it lays down broad, even strokes; turned on its edge it produces clean, precise lines; and the corners can be used for picking out detail or creating sharp edges. It's a particularly useful brush for architectural subjects, geometric shapes, and any work where you need both coverage and control.
Made from Daler-Rowney's blend of thick and thin synthetic filaments of varying lengths, all tapered to a point, the AF55 is designed to mimic the smooth colour flow and point retention of natural sable at a more accessible price. The short flat profile gives you good resistance and control when working wet-on-wet or laying flat washes.
Available in sizes 1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1 1/2".
