The Bristlewhite B36 is a hog bristle short flat brush for oil and acrylic painting — a square-edged shape with a shorter bristle length than a long flat, giving you more control and resistance when working with thick, buttery paint. It's particularly well suited to strong, decisive strokes, applying paint with clear definition, and building up heavy impasto texture where you want the mark of the brush to remain visible in the finished work.
Made from Chungking hog bristle, the B36 has the stiffness to push paint around the canvas without losing its shape, and the natural split ends of the bristle help hold and distribute colour evenly across the stroke. The long handle keeps you at a comfortable distance from the canvas for easel work.
