The Bristlewhite B48 is a hog bristle long flat brush for oil and acrylic painting — a square-edged shape with an extended bristle length that sets it apart from the shorter B36. The extra length gives the bristles more flex and spring, allowing the brush to hold a greater volume of colour and deliver longer, more fluid strokes across the canvas. It's particularly effective for broad coverage, smooth blending across large areas, and expressive gestural work where you want the stroke to flow freely.
Made from Chungking hog bristle, the B48 has the stiffness to handle thick paint confidently while the longer bristle length adds a degree of give that makes it more responsive than a short flat. The long handle keeps you at easel distance for a more natural, free-arm painting approach.
