The Dalon D88 is a square-edged flat brush designed for laying down broad, even areas of colour in a single stroke. Its wide profile makes it ideal for washes, backgrounds, and covering large areas quickly — tasks where a round brush simply isn't the right tool.
Made from Daler-Rowney's premium synthetic filaments, the D88 is specifically tapered for excellent shape retention, springing back into form between strokes. It carries colour smoothly and releases it evenly, making it a reliable choice for watercolour washes in particular, though it works equally well with acrylics and oils.
A considered choice for vegan artists, being entirely man-made with no animal hair. Available in sizes 1/4" through 1 1/2".
