The System 3 SY278 is an extra-wide flat wash brush designed for covering large areas quickly and evenly. The broad chisel edge holds a generous amount of colour and releases it smoothly across the surface, making it well suited to laying flat washes, painting skies and backgrounds, and any work where you need consistent coverage over a substantial area. The chisel edge also allows for precise stroke work along straight edges.
It's a specialist brush rather than an everyday one — most useful when you need to move a lot of paint efficiently, whether for mural work, large-scale canvas painting, or blocking in broad areas of colour before working into the detail. Made from soft synthetic filaments with good snap and spring.
