The System 3 SY50 is a script liner — a long-bodied brush with an elongated head that holds a generous reservoir of paint and releases it slowly and evenly. The extra length makes it well suited to continuous flowing lines that are difficult to achieve with a shorter brush: long scrollwork, lettering, fine branches, and any stroke where you need the line to travel a long distance without reloading. It requires a light touch and a steady hand, but rewards the effort with a fluid, consistent mark.
The SY51 size 1 is a standard liner — shorter and more controlled than the script liner, better suited to precise detail work and shorter fine lines where maximum accuracy matters more than length of stroke.
Both are made from soft synthetic filaments with good snap and spring. Available in size 10/0 (SY50 Script Liner) and size 1 (SY51 Liner).
