The Pro Arte Series RSF is the Renaissance Sable flat — the same carefully sourced, affordable traditional sable as the RS round, shaped into a flat for artists who need broad, even coverage and clean, straight edges. Pro Arte developed the Renaissance range to sit alongside their Prolene synthetics and give purists who prefer natural sable a genuine option without the usual premium price.
The flat shape makes the RSF particularly well suited to laying washes, painting architectural subjects, and any technique where you need to cover ground quickly and evenly. The sable hair holds a generous reservoir of colour and releases it smoothly across the stroke, while the flat edge gives you precise control over where the wash begins and ends. Like the rest of the Renaissance range, it offers a level of performance that compares well with more expensive sables.
