The Series 009 Prolene Plus Filbert is a premium synthetic brush that builds on the legacy of the original Prolene range. The 'Plus' designation marks a significant step forward — the fibres are softer than standard Prolene, with darker tips that closely mimic the appearance and feel of natural sable hair. The result is improved colour-holding capacity and a finer point.
The filbert shape — a rounded oval tip — is one of the most versatile brush shapes for watercolour and gouache, combining the coverage of a flat with the softer, tapered edge of a round.
