The Series A Short Flat is made from Jyukeis hog bristle — considered the finest Chinese bristle available. The bristles are firm and curved to a sharp edge, giving the Short Flat excellent control for precise, confident strokes in oil painting. The shorter bristle length compared to a standard flat provides more resistance and control, making it well-suited to detail work, impasto techniques, and applying paint with authority.
Exceptionally resilient, Jyukeis bristle maintains its shape through long-term use and repeated cleaning. Finished with seamless nickel-plated brass ferrules and long, polished green handles.
